August means “prestigious”*

August is not often a favorite among the months. It is wet and rainy here in the Philippines. Some superstitions even surround August. A line in a song reads: Whoever wed in August be, many a change is sure to see. Perhaps more baffling is the one that dooms you to blood poisoning if you cut your foot while swimming in the first 10 days of August. (I wonder which country that superstition abounds in.)

Well, not my August. Today I receive inspiration for another project, this time for a seminar and a food diary. When it rains, it pours, and particularly nicely in my August.
